Part of the discussion at our AGM centred around the services and facilities that, in Somerton, would make a real difference to those living with dementia, and perhaps other disabilities. There are a couple already on the table for our next Steering Committee on 5th November, but other suggestions are welcome. Already in discussion are the possibility of a regular 'Memory Cafe' and a group to support Carers that can meet at a time and place where there would be safe independent support and activities for the people for whom they normally provide care.
We are also looking to develop a directory of services and facilities in the area, so please feed in your suggestions of what might usefully be included.
